Supervisory Control And Date Acquisition (SCADA) : 21 gas fields have so far been discovered in Bangladesh. All the gas fields are connected to a national grid which extends from Horipur in the North, Sangu (offshore) in the south and Baghabari in the west. Gas is transmitted and distributed through 78 stations comprising of CMS, RMS, DRS, City Gate, Valve Stations etc. In order to operate such a network efficiently & reliably, it is essential to have information regarding operational data and status of the stations. To achieve this, Gas Transmission Co. Ltd. (GTCL) of Petrobangla, a Corporation under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Govt. of Bangladesh decided to install Supervisory Control And Date Acquisition (SCADA) System for its Gas Transmission Network in Bangladesh. GTCL has awarded the job to M/S SERCK CONTROLS LTD. of UK as Contractor. Engineering Networks Ltd. have been appointed as Sub Contractor of M/S SERCK CONTROLS LTD. for Instrumentation Installation, Testing and Commissioning for all the sites covered by the SCADA System. |
